DelMed Health—Women’s Health Services is proud to announce their partnership with Delaware CAN, a statewide initiative from Delaware’s Division of Public Health and the nonprofit, Upstream USA to reduce unintended pregnancy in the state. This joint effort eliminates barriers at health centers that prevent women from obtaining the contraceptive method of her choice. Through this partnership, DelMed Health will be able to offer same-day access to all birth control methods, including long-acting reversible contraception (LARCs), at little to no cost to our patients.
Our providers and staff will work with Delaware CAN to ensure that our practice is up-to-date on the latest methods and trainings, has easy-to-understand educational materials, and can provide streamlined and convenient care to our patients.
Delaware has one of the highest unintended pregnancy rates in the United States. All women should have the ability to choose if, when, and how they create a family. Not only do these choices affect their individual outcomes, but these choices have a positive impact for generations to come.
